This 4 nights and 5 days package will let you explore some of the most remarkable Buddhist Monasteries in Leh Ladakh which includes Shey Monatery, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery and Stok. While in Leh, you’ll also visit Shanti Stupa which offers panoramic view of the Leh Town and one of the best photo ops of the town along with Leh Palace where the former monarch of Ladakh resided. And that is not all as you will be taken on topof Khardung La, the highest motorable pass in the world.
EXPEDITION DETAIL
DAY 1 : NJP RAILWAY STATION/ BAGDOGRA AIRPORT TO DARJEELING
Arrival at NJP railway station/ Bagdogra airport , get transferred to Darjeeling by road. On arrival, check into the hotel. Enjoy taking a leisure walk to admire the lush green beautiful surroundings. You can also shop at the local market.
DAY 2 : DARJEELING SIGHTSEEING
Early morning visit for tiger hill (sunrise point ) back to hotel have your breakfast and leave for city tour. Cover the major attractions like Natural History Museum, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological park, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center, Tea Estate, Batasia Loop, Peace Pagoda and Tensing – tensing rock. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 03 : DARJEELING TO GANGTOK
After breakfast start your journey towards Gangtok. On the way view some sightseeings of Gangtok. Arrive by evening free for leisure and shopping.
DAY 04 : GANGTOK TO LACHEN (NORTH SIKKIM)
After breakfast pick up from Gangtok hotel – Drive 135 kilometers, 6 hours drive – En-route Seven Sisters Water Fall, Miyang Chu, Naga Water Fall, Taram Chu sightseeing – Reach Lachen late afternoon / early evening -Check into a hotel – Overnight stay at Hotel in Lachen.
DAY 05 : EXCURSION TO GURUDONGMAR LAKE & TRANSFER TO LACHUNG
3:30am – Visit to Gurudongmar Lake 65 kilometers, 2 to 3 hours drive – A valley at an altitude of 17, 200 feet through which Lachen Chu flows. Packed breakfast on the way. – Back to hotel for lunch – After lunch proceed to Lachung – Nearly 50 kilometers and four hours’ drive – on the way visit bhim nala water falls- Check into hotel at Lachung – Evening free to visit Lachung Monastery – Overnight stay at Lachung (Hotel).
DAY 06 : SIGHTSEEING AT YUMTHANG & TRANSFER TO GANGTOK
After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet – On the way you have packed lunch . Return to hotel – After that transfer to Gangtok – Over night stay at hotel..
DAY 07 : GANGTOK LOCAL SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast visit some attractive points of Gangtok like Tashi View point, Gangtok covering Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Research Institute of Tibet logy (Closed on Sunday & govt. Holidays), Do-Drul Chorten, Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom(Closed on Sunday & Govt. Holidays), Nam Nang View point & Flower Show. Over night stay in Gangtok .
DAY 08 : EXCURSION TO TSHANGMO LAKE AND BABA MANDIR
Early morning proceed for Tshangu Lake (Changu Lake) , Baba Mandir .Back to hotel by evening is free for leisure activities.
DAY 09 : GANGTOK TO BAGDORA AIRPORT
After breakfast pick up from Gangtok hotel to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey with some happy memories.
